Made from Merlot from the Puntone and Vignone vineyards. The wine ferments in stainless steel and cement under controlled temperatures and ages in new and used barriques. This has improved a lot since the summer with an aroma where dark fruit stands out like prune as well as blueberry and cherry, all enriched by the classic balsamic note and a hint of incense. The mouthfeel is intense and progressive with the wood component rapidly abating, something unexpected so soon. The finish is very persistent with greater finesse than when tasted in June.
