Made from Merlot from various vineyards and aged in barriques for some 14 months. Fermentation takes place in part in stainless steel and in part in wood. This is already a very different wine from the others due to changes in winemaking and aging. The color is an intense and intact ruby and the aroma is intense, balanced and clear. The bouquet has evident notes of maple syrup, blackberry and blueberry with that balsamic touch which appears to be the estate’s trademark. But the real difference is in the mouthfeel which has extremely refined balances and a nice freshness while there is only a hint of tannins that are well-integrated into a magnificent flavor progression. The finish is sumptuous thanks to its integrity and pleasing persistence.
