Merlot 1999

A pure Merlot that aged 14 months in barriques and was a true surprise because while it used to be a hearty wine, with time it has acquired elegance and complexity. Its red color is full yet certainly not concentrated and over the years the aroma has shifted towards notes of humus and fine mushrooms, bark and pomegranate. The mouthfeel remains very soft and wrapping and while the finish is a bit abrupt but still clean.
