Mazzamurello 2006

This was the first bottle that was ready to drink, the result of an ideal year. A shiny black ruby color, very young, and a bouquet of macerated flowers, cherry liqueur, peppermint, licorice, venison and a pleasing animal scent that with breathing does not bleed and offers character and a sense of territorial belonging. The taste is magnificent, very rich but above all fresh and creamy and with a velvety, licorice-flavored tannin. The finish is frighteningly good with ferrous and haematic hints. Good for at least for another five years.
