This time we'll wind up with an Italian champion... and what a champion. The color was the most intense of the day's tasting, almost impenetrable. The aroma is upheld by very ripe fruit, Vignola cherry and cherry jam. With time emerge balsamic scents, chocolate and bramble. The mouthfeel is solemnly aristocratic, rotund, alluring, support by very lovely and delicate tannins. Independent of its price, this is probably one of the best pure Merlot in the world.
