Made from Trebbiano d’Abruzzo grapes. Golden yellow, with the odd residual greenish highlight, it is much more mineral than the ’04 on the nose, with smoky hints alongside citrus-like sensations (of citron and grapefruit) and fruity notes of ripe white peaches and yellow plums. It is zesty and saline on the palate – aspects that are coherent with the weather in this vintage, which was cooler than the preceding one – with excellent structure and a fine balance between the acidity and softness from the glycerine. It displays complexity and character, finishing long and pleasantly tangy.
