Made from Trebbiano d’Abruzzo grapes. It has a brilliant golden yellow colour. Its nose is slightly mature, with notes of gentian flowers and medlars and the odd vinous hint which is just starting to reveal the wine’s age. The nose is nevertheless ethereal, broad and very slightly alcoholic, because it is the product of a rich, hot vintage. The fruit on the palate is mellow and salty, rounded rather than gutsy, but with a long, warming finish that does not lack a typical aftertaste of bitter almonds.
