    Make no mistake, 1988 is the name of the vintage. The wine’s color is an ash blond that leans towards tobacco and the aroma is incredibly clear with notes of sweet tobacco, walnut husk, dried and fresh flowers as well as yellow and colored flowers like gorse and lavender and bramble with overripe berries. The mouthfeel is hard to describe yet is absolutely immense due to its flavor and elegance. And while it is strange to consider a Marsala as elegant, tasting is believing.
