Marina Cvetic 2007

Made from montepulciano grapes. This is a great vintage for the second wine of “casa Masciarelli” as well. It is a very well-knit, rich and powerful red, with the dense yet elegant tannins that are typical of the zone of San Martino sulla Marrucina, near Guardiagrele in the Province of Chieti. It has a very intense and highly concentrated ruby colour and a bouquet with the typical note of sour cherries in the foreground and underlying smoky hints and leather-like tones. Its fruit is full-bodied and compact on the palate, well sustained by the acidity and with a long, persistent finish. Serve it at 18°C, pairing it with roast lamb, stuffed partridge or beef Wellington.
