Mantonico 2010

Isatti is in Lamezia Terme (CZ) and is a family-run estate that has decided to focus on wines made from indigenous grapes. This is made only from Mantonico grapes that are pressed lightly and fermented in steel vats under temperature-controlled conditions. After aging on the lees it later ages a short while in the bottle. The color is a nice golden-yellow of average intensity and with green reflections. This is a delicate and refined wine, with a bouquet of golden apple and unripe medlar, aromatic herbs encompassed by a trace of minerality and menthol. The taste recalls the aroma and has a pungent freshness.
