Here the garnet is slightly more intense while the edge is still brick. The aroma has smoky and earthy notes, geranium, then licorice and some 'gassy' hints, black truffle and a few balsamic scents in the background. The mouthfeel has a nice acidity, with a bitter note, and is austere, more distinct, which appears to indicate that the polyphenic component evolves more rapidly and blends into the grape's typical terpenic one.
