Maestro Vecchio 2012

Here the blend is 85% Sangiovese Prugnolo, 10% Canaiolo Nero and 5% Mammolo and the wine ages for 24 months in French oak barrels. It has a nice, bright color that is not dark while the aroma is clear and intense with lovely scents of cherry, blackcurrant and blond tobacco. This is a wine of great elegance and structure with an excellent balance between the acidity and tannins. The finish is decidedly persistent.
