Alessandro Mori has taken over running his family's winery with great passion, so much so that he abandoned a promising career as a lawyer. We found this Brunello to be particularly interesting because of the way it interprets the land with a touch of innovation, especially in regard to the aroma. Th intense ruby color is quite bright and intact while the bouquet is clear and compact with scents of cherry and Marasca cherry together with those of unripe blackberry and bramble and a touch of spice. The flavor perfectly represents the higher northern area of Montalcino. Although the impact is good, it is the acidity that leads the way while the tannins, that are already settled, are very elegant. The progression is nice in the mouth and the finish is elegant, persistent and fresh. This is a wine that will have a long life.
