Luna Mater 2010

Made from 40% Malvasia Puntinata grapes, 35% Malvasia di Candia, 10% Bombino Bianco, 10% Greco and 5% Trebbiano Giallo. This comes from a cool year, but one in which the grapes were healthy and ripe. It has a deep straw yellow colour and a broad nose, with ripe fruity hints of yellow peaches, citron, fresh almonds and wild flowers. The flavour is warm and rounded, but not without a delicate saline quality and excellent body. The finish is long and persistent.
