Luna Mater 2009

Made from 40% Malvasia Puntinata grapes, 35% Malvasia di Candia, 10% Bombino Bianco, 10% Greco and 5% Trebbiano Giallo. This comes from a fairly regular, cool vintage. It has a bright straw yellow and aromas of ripe exotic fruit, pineapple in particular, but also of fresh almonds and some more citrus-like tones. On the palate it is full and tangy, almost brackish, and richer than the 2010, with a firm, warm and particularly long finish.
