A traditional approach to this wine gives it a bold straw-yellow color and a floral bouquet with scents that are quite intense and border on saffron. The citrus component has ripe pink grapefruit and Amalfi lemon. The mouthfeel is somewhat less classic, upheld by a lovely and integrated acidic streak that in youth makes the wine seem less intense than it really is. The persistence is good and consistent.
