Luce 2012

The usual blend of Merlot and Sangiovese that ages in barriques. It has a dark and bright ruby color and a very fruity aroma with notes of currant, blueberry and cherry as well as wild berry jam. The spicy notes are strong and still too young. The flavor tends to be on the soft and ready-to-drink side and the mouthfeel has a nice density and progression but the wine lacks that touch that would make it extraordinary.
