Likos 2009

The color is an intense, ruby-garnet, limpid and lively. The intriguing aroma has just a hint of wood, some smoky notes, within a bouquet of ripe black cherry and particularly elegant balsamic scents. But is the mouthfeel where this wine demonstrates all its class, even in its extreme youth. The tannins are thick and relaxed, so refined they bring to mind the elegance of certain Margaux. A nice acidity upholds a significant body which is neither heavy nor excessive. The finish has the formidable and sober length of a true champion. An extraordinary wine, believe me, which will young has a bright future ahead of it, a decade at least.
