Le Pergole Torte 2007

Made from Sangiovese grapes. A hot summer that created problems on a level of phenolic maturity. A blazing and clear ruby color. The nose opens with violet and raspberry followed by a strong spiciness. It is a sweet bouquet that includes scents of dried fruit and confectioner's sugar but also with blood-like and ferrous traces, then underbrush. The taste has a more muted balance, the tannin is slightly less elegant while the acidity is present yet reined in.
