Made from Cesanese grapes fermented on the skins for 15 days. The wine then matures for 18 months in well-used French barriques. The color is a limpid, pigeon-blood red but is not too intense and has bright reflections. The aroma has distinct notes of wild berries, cacao powder and black pepper. The mouthfeel is consistent, austere and balanced with a nice salinity and a medium persistence that is slightly tannic.
