A small yet authentic masterpiece from this Loire producer who was killed a few years ago in a plane crash. Made from Petit Manseng grapes, this has a distinct amber color while the aromas have a wonderful complexity and variety. The bouquet opens with some very light scents of candied apricot before expanding to include notes of lime confit and orange peel, a balsamic sensation and very elegant spice component. The mouthfeel is almost violent because of the sharp acidity that counterbalances the sugar residue that is never dominating or exaggerated, while the finish is endless. *375ml bottles.
