A typical and varietal 'tongue-cutter'. In the aroma, ripe fruit (cherry and morello cherry, as well as the cherry wood used in aging) stands out and blends in with more vegetal and rustic scents, the leitmotif in many versions of wines made from this grape. The flavor is compact, chewy, with a smoky close and long persistence of morello cherry.
