Le Buche 2009 is a blend of 70% Sangiovese with the remaining 30% made up of international grapes including Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The wine ages 10-12 months in 10hl barriques and then a further six months in the bottle. It has a toasted aroma with scents of spice and raw meat, pepper corn and thyme. The mouthfeel is pleasingly lithe, balanced with a a medium length.
