Lazzarito -Vigna La Delizia 1998

This was undoubtedly the vintage I liked least: the palate was disjointed, tired, lacking in vivacity and hot, with strong hints of reduction that took a long time to disappear. Only the colour is that of an aristocratic Barolo. Perhaps the bottle wasn’t on top form and perhaps we should have opened up another one, but it just isn’t possible to give a rating to the one I tried.
