Made mostly from Sangiovese grapes with a minimum addition of Merlot, this has a bright ruby color and a classic bouquet of violet and black cherry. The taste has a lot of personality with an acidic component that helps make it quite drinkable, while the structure is that of a red that has a long life ahead of it. Serve at 18°C, perhaps with a steak or Florentine-style tripe.
