The ruby color is very intense with bright and violet reflections. This year was a cool one which made the aroma very convincing with a floral bouquet of oleander and green tea, compact currant and ripe blackberry, all very well defined, broad and intense, with an almost imperceptible the hint of spice. The flavor is quite interesting and typical for a Barbera with a strong acidity held in check by nice fruit extracts. The tannins are excellent, subtle and fully settled. The classic finish is excellent with a sharp verticality but nice persistence that corresponds with the aroma.
