This winery is better known as Salvioni after the volcanic personality of its owner Giulio, a great innovator and creator in Montalcino. In the mid-1980s his Brunello wines were a beacon it the immobile world of Brunello. This 1991 is quite interesting with its ruby color that is not bold yet remains intact, while the aroma is full with the winery's typical scents of yellow peach, some leather and tobacco nicely blended together. The mouthfeel has a great impact despite the year being an average one, with great elegance and settled tannins. The persistence is also excellent despite a certain lightness and the aftertaste, for me, is perfectly integrated.
