Kurni 1998

Every time I have to write about this wine from the Marche region it's almost a moving experience, I love it so much. 100% Montepulciano, the product of a cultivation which is literally unique and extreme. Once again, as for many other '98s, when it is first opened there is a little carbonation which then disappears after a minute or so in the glass. The color is really dark, almost black, with reflections which are still bright, it looks like a young wine. The taste is a deep as the Mariana Trench, complex in its uniqueness. The high level of alcohol is not bothersome and even its wonderful bouquet, slightly animal-like, helps make it a masterpiece. The second vintage of an authentic legend.
