Kurni 1997

Only 2,500 bottles were produced of this first vintage and they are by now impossible to find. It has a dark, ruby color with an orange edge, while the aroma is of ripe fruit and fine spice. The mouthfeel is extraordinarily bold and yet has very fine tannins. Overall, the wine is amazingly intact, a perfect example of the Kurni wines to come and its potential to evolve which incredibly still today has yet to be discovered.
