    This was practically the first vintage to reach the market even if a few dozen or so bottles of 2005 made it into circulation. As a debut it is not bad. The bouquet is a firecracker with scents of cinchona, rhubarb and dark chocolate all on a bed of fresh fruit and spice. The mouthfeel is meaty and well-defined with a distinct acidity accompanied by a steadfast structure. The progression and finish are both absolutely complex.
