A ruby-garnet color full of nuances. At first impact the nose is volatile but then you realize how this hides nothing and thus is not a defect but a sign of personality. This volatile aspect transports and contrasts the scents in a spectacular way: green tea, cardamon, black pepper, blackcurrant, embers. But then it stops and the nose is intoxicated by graphite and juniper. In a way it is like a Gevrey Chamertin but warmer and broader, a tad rustic. There is harmony between opposites: a meaty yet sharp nose and a rich but slender flavor. Juicy and lively to the tongue, a medium body with tannins that are less pressing and more subtle than the 2010 but always wonderfully rustic. The persistence is perfect, even stratified (something found in wines that cost ten times as much). In terms of drinkability and complexity this wine is undoubtedly a masterpiece. Some doubts arise over how it will age and its ability to evolve further, seeing how it seems to have already reached its peak. This is a wine that truly moved me, something that does not happen every month.
