A local Raboso Piave biotype called Friularo is used for this wine with some of the grapes raisinating slightly. The wines first matures for 12 months in barriques and then for at least 24 months in large oak barrels. It has a ruby color that leans towards garnet and a complex aroma with smoky notes and those of blond tobacco, cherry and spice jam and a hint of orange peel. The mouthfeel is mellow with great class and a thick yet elegant texture thanks to an impressive salinity. The finish is excellent and still young.
