We did it again, we fell in love with a great Tuscan wine, one not made with any international grapes but only with the most classic and pure Sangiovese.It would be easy to say everything from this magnificent land comes out good, but that would diminish the importance of the many skilled producers who with great sincerity and commitment, even if their convictions may be very different from each other, are able to produce similar gems. This particular 14-year-old was properly jammy in the mouth, with harmony and freshness in abundance with nice, delicate tannins. To the nose there were scents of tobacco and damp underbrush.
