I Balzini White Label 2012

A fairly equal blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon that ages in new and used barriques for well over a year. The wine has a brilliant ruby-garnet color and a bouquet that has the fruity notes of Sangiovese intermingling well with the more spicy and balsamic ones of Cabernet Sauvignon. The mouthfeel is nervous and taut with a very pleasing acidic streak upholding the body and keeping the tannins in check. The finish is subtle and agile with an excellent persistence.
