Only 6,000 bottles were produced of this blend of Pinot Noir grapes from two parcels, La Côte Glacière and Meurtet, both situated in Aÿ in the Vallée de la Marne. While not a simple year weather-wise, 2010 produced grapes with elegant traits but also intense spirit and seven years on the lees has brought out their boldness and freshness. This limited edition exalts the characteristics of Pinot Noir in Aÿ with aromas of dark citrus, currant and Sulla honey, with distinct iodine notes and nuances of apple and balsamic herbs. The mouthfeel is dense yet flowing with a refined creaminess worthy of a recognizable stylistic talent, capable of bringing out the essence of Aÿ and exalting it with notes of dried fruit, bold fruit and black tea leaves, rhubarb root and an almost spicy freshness of ginger in the progression, together with structure and depth with an engaging persistence.
