After two very open wines, here we have one with a closed aroma, even 24 hours after it has been opened. It is a touch woody (chocolate), then mineral (rust, motor oil) on a black, earthy and monotone fruit. The taste has an excellent volume, slow, not very dynamic, while the tannins are evident at the center, tannins that rush into a potent finish, very vigorous and broad. A strong wine, with great muscle, in no way subtle. Given what it may have in store for the future we may have underestimated it. Time will tell.
