In this Aglianico 20% of the wine ages in barriques and tonneau and the rest in steel. It reaches the market three years after harvest and is a blend of wines from the estate’s various vineyards. The aroma has non-invasive spicy notes on a fruity bed where the usual fresh prune acts as point of reference, with some intense cherry and a slightly smoked note enhance the bouquet. The attack of the mouthfeel is pronounced and nicely dense with lovely young tannins in the progression which is broad without being sweet. The finish is excellent and persistent.
