This Aglianico is the state’s simplest wine and is an equal blend of wine that has aged for a year in Slovenian oak barrels and wine aged a year in steel. Although the grapes come from the youngest vineyards this does not make the wine any less interesting. It has an intense, opaque color and a strong fruity aroma with red fruit notes and a touch of prune, along with a fresh and very intriguing balsamic tone.
