This estate is part of the Ruffino empire and is recognizable by the beautiful Villa Leopoldina situated in the center of the property and surrounded by some 10 hectares if vineyards (around 430 meters above sea level). The wines have a precise style that has been consolidated over the years and is, I dare to say, neo-classic. Its nice ruby color is of medium intensity and quite bright, while the bouquet has some warm scents like licorice that stand out considering the fresh profile of the year. The standard cherry scent is very clear and not too ripe while the balsamic hints are quite captivating. The taste is intense but not muscular with excellent tannins and an elegant and progressive structure that goes well with the acidity. The finish is persistent and delicate with a surprising persistence.
