A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 15% Sangiovese grapes. Matures for 1½ years in barrique. Deep ruby-gar. Nose dominated by oaky notes, then damp earth, undergrowth, balm-like hints and blackcurrants. Dense but very refined tannins and excellent tangy acidity that gives length to the supple, persistent fruit.
