Gran Brut 2012

The Della Colletta family’s winery Colvendrà began production in 1924 in Refrontolo (TV). Today they make 15,000 bottles of this Grand Brut, 100% Glera. The bead is quite fine and illuminates the wine’s very faint yellow color, with slight green reflections. The nose stands out the fruity and floral characteristics of the grape, which are even more apparent in the flavor. These include green apple, nectarine and Chinese mandarin orange together with fern, freesia and fresh aromatic herbs. The mouthfeel is pleasing with its acidic-tart streak nicely balanced by its soft structure and the creaminess of the effervescence. The finish is broad and fruity.
