This 100% Pecorino produced in steel vats quickly became one of the best of its kind. The 2012 is particularly captivating with its bright, straw-yellow color and bouquet that opens with a slightly sour blackberry scent followed by those of gooseberry, basil and tomato leaf. It is almost as if the aroma has a split personality: one centered on white peach and the other that is ‘greener’ and well-balanced. The flavor is fascinating, fresh but with a full body that gives it progression and makes it pleasing. The finish has great personality and persistence with a floral after-aroma.
