Franciacorta Gran Cuvée Pas Operé 1985

A regular year with some rainfall in September. It is made from 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Nero grapes. The colour is a pale golden yellow, and the perlage is very fine and continuous. There are still some fruity scents, followed by biscuit- like, smoky, decidedly tertiary sensations. The flavour is still lively, mellow and even creamy, with excellent body. It is a little bit one-dimensional, but nevertheless surprising considering its age.
