Franciacorta Brut Gran Cuvée 1993

A very hot and rather dry year. It is made from 75% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Nero grapes. The colour is a golden yellow, with very fine, slow but not abundant perlage. The nose is evolved, with notes of ripe exotic fruits, slightly mushroomy and broad, with hints of chestnut honey and almonds underlying. It is full-flavoured, creamy and decidedly evolved on the palate, yet tangy, full-bodied and very long.
