A Sangiovese varietal that aged in barriques and was last version before Sangiovese was replaced by Merlot. It is a wine of rare refinedness and consistency, a blend of grapes from different vineyards that still has an incredible vivacity. The color is a concentrated ruby and the aroma one of dark fruit with elegant and intense floral notes. The mouthfeel has refined tannins, a balanced acidity and an excellent progression and while austere it has great depth. The finish has excellent personality and persistence.
