Fiano 2012

A 100% Fiano made outside the area considered the classic one for this grape, Avellino. It is from Sannio, in the province of Benevento, with the grapes grown on the foothills, far from the sea. Up until now the other wines made from Fiano had not satisfied me in the least but then came this one to restore my faith. This was certainly not for its color, which was clear and a little faded, as much as for the admirable consistency between the aroma and the flavor, made up of clearly toasted notes, balsamic accents and white fruit that was perfectly ripe. A good wine.
