Made from Pinot Nero grown on 40-year-old vines and matured 13 months in 300-liter French oak barrels, which have been used twice or three times, and then aged for a year in the bottle. The wine has a limpid, ruby color and a clearly fruity aroma of blackberry and ripe wild berries with light notes of spice and laurel. The mouthfeel has a high acidity and a lot of fruit making it a vibrant and gutsy drop with tannins that are a tad green but mellow out in the juicy and persistent finish. A Pinot Nero that steps away from the typical characteristics of the varietal to combine with those of the terroir of Lunigiana. Only 796 bottles were produced.
