A typical example of this hot year where the focus is more towards 'aged' and not the relentless search for freshness to the nose at all costs. The color is a straw-yellow with metallic reflections between gold and silver. The aroma is rich and intense with sweet floral notes that recall wisteria and oleander, while the fruity component goes from peach to bergamot and in the end there is a touch of toast that is not intrusive (although it does lean towards sweet). Overall the nose is complex and very articulated and thus remains nicely composed. The taste has an excellent structure with nicely balanced bubbles upholding the extractive mass. The toasted and fruity notes in the finish indicate successful amalgamation. The finish has great length.
