Etna Rosso 2012

A supple yet biting wine made from Nerello Mascalese grapes. It has a lucent ruby-red color and a fine and fragrant bouquet with floral scents of rose and fruity ones of pomegranate, currant and rhubarb while the finish is slightly vegetal and has a note of cinchona. The mouthfeel is multiform with an attack that is heady with fruit under spirits that then extends towards more delicate notes of blood orange. The tannins are tight which adds to the tension in the finish.
