Esoterico 2011

This is an unusual Fiano if only for the fact that it ages long (12 months) in French barriques. Such a long aging, however, is beneficial and does not excessively influence the wine’s profile which has a respectable alcoholic content without losing any component that makes it a long and pleasing drop. The aroma is distinct with its scents of ripe fruit, orange blossoms and both smoky and toasty notes. The mouthfeel is different and plays more on green notes but which are energetic and elegant. A great wine even in regard to price.
